Meet the children

Andrei Nedelcu (age 12) - Bucharest, Romania

Music Camp meant an unforgettable experience. Here I have met a lot of children and out of those some today are now my friends. Especially I was impressed with the effort of the teachers who demonstrated both proficient abilities as well as teaching abilities. I was also impressed with the way our conductor, Connie Fortunato, managed to teach so many songs to so many children. This camp was organized with excellence for any type of children. But the best thing I liked was that at the end we had a concert in which we were able to show everything we have learned in a week.

During Music Camp, I have discovered the gift God put within me. I have learned to play the guitar and recorder, and together with my sister I have sung the songs learned in Music Camp in many churches around Bucharest. I have learned to integrate in a big group of children that I had not met before.

As a result of Music Camp, my voice has developed and today I am part of two choirs—one at church and one at school.

Music Camp means something unique. Mrs. Connie has taught us to sing. Here I learned to play the recorder and percussion instruments.

In only five days with hard work, I have learned to play beautiful pieces. I have met children that never knew how to play an instrument—and they also learned there. I got friends with many of the children—and we almost became a great family.

I have learned what it means to participate in a special presentation. I hope to participate in Music Camp every year. It is a wonderful course.

Music Camp was something new and an unforgettable experience. Mrs.Connie taught us to sing beautiful musical pieces that enter softly into your soul and remain there for life. She taught us how to love music but also our forefather’s faith.

In only five days with hard work, love, talent, and focus and passion, she managed to unite the voices of children that knew or not how to sing in a choir. I can even say that she formed a big family with many talented children as well as parents. I met many that never touched an instrument ever in their life—and I saw them enjoying at the end—or rejoicing at the end because of the practical skills and theoretical knowledge that they received in this area.

The fact that we were accompanied by a great orchestra in Bucharest amazed and honored us. During that week was requested hard work, but I can really say that it was worth it and we had lots of satisfaction. We found new friends. We’ve learned what competition means but most of all, we learned how important communication is in a group of people whether small or big. The week was perfect! Music Camp International is a wonderful course and the spirit of it MUST be spread all over Romania!!!

Alexandra Zabolotnaya (age 16) - Kiev, Ukraine

Music is my life. As much as I remember myself it goes with me. I came to the Music Camp in 2003 for the first time. There were unforgettable memories, new friends, and whole week of singing and first concert. I was in the Music Camp two more times. And every time was unique.

Due to this camp I understood what art and music means.

Due to Connie I understood what does it mean to love music, to love people, to love God.
